I’m a big fan of the Lightning Ascent snowshoes from MSR. They’re lightweight but at the same time, gnarly enough for any terrain. The hinged binding system allows easy access and doesn’t flick up much snow. Parts can easily be removed and replaced in the field.
I’ve rounded up a ton of reviews of the Lightning Ascents. They’ll be able to give you the pros and cons of these awesome shoes in case you’re looking for a new pair.
